My mom randomly gave my kid the first 2 skeleton creek books. While he found the plastic sleeve cover over the book exciting, he wasn't overly interested otherwise.
I was curious, so I decided to read them myself.
I just touched the surface so far, reading up until the 1st video link. It seems well done and I like the journal presentation.
The video was standard Blaire Witch stuff.

The nice thing about kids books is they are fast reads, these pages have flown by.
This story definitely feels conspiracy theory ish rather than supernatural. It's interesting.
I thought of one possible explanation for everything, but I doubt it's the case. This could all be part of initiation into the crossbones.
I'm looking forward to the eventual reveal!

Looks like it's a video about every 25 pages.
Also, I'm just going to call it now. Our MCs dad was probably one of the kids who broke into the building in the past.
We'll see if I'm right.

I read a little past the second video now.
Sounds like the ghost of "Old Joe", or someone pretending to be him, is still around.
I don't know enough about the series to know if it's actually supernatural or just "Scooby Doo villains".
And I'm not sure how I feel about the parents... I mean I can understand keeping the friends apart, but they live in a tiny town so it's not exactly practical...
