Monkey’s Reviews > Bitten: the intoxicating, unputdownable YA fantasy sensation with royalty, werewolves and courtly intrigue > Status Update

C13-ohh okay it’s the first rite aka the drowning?? Crazy way to start off. Anyways V’s a Truthseer, I guess everyone’s pretty happy about that based on the reaction? Kind of obsessed with this book, I didn’t expect to enjoy it as much as I am.

C12-ok obsessed with Oona. Woah V just made her burn all the clothes the Queen had made for her💀. Calix being the callous mean guy but I think he has a crush on V. Wait now he’s pushing her into a pool of water? I’m so lost.

C11-making a bet rn that V ends up falling for Sin & he dumps E for her. Or maybe I’m just evil. I can’t tell if I’ve been reading too many romantasies but the tension is palpable. V has a death wish wanting to hunt down C’s killer but can’t blame her, I’d burn the whole place down.

C10-ok E is Sinclair’s future fiancée? Woah V’s the first wolf to ever have purple eyes?! Wait she’s quite high up in the wolf hierarchy. Sin is being suspiciously protective of V. Covering her naked body & the hand on the waist🫢. The Queen obviously likes her a lot bc she’s already having bee make a blood pact to remain in her court. That’s wild.

C9-how does V know what the girl from the beach smells like lmao. Somehow she’s escaped her room & is hunting her down, Allard is with her & the Queen. Well at least the Queen let her get a few licks in on Evie before she split up the fight. So I’m guessing Evie is the heirs girlfriend or something? Seems like the Queen likes V, the oracle must’ve said something good about her.

C8-based on what the boy said last chapter, I’m going to assume that the hallucination is V’s heightened emotions & not actually C’s ghost bc wdym ‘You let me die’??

C7-she wakes up & remembers everything again, that would’ve been so traumatic😭. Damn, no time to grieve, she’s just straight shifting into a werewolf while a hallucination of C haunts her. I’m guessing the boy talking through the door is Cora’s orphaned son who has to guard the heir? My guess is he had to bite V to stop her attack on the heir & now he’s feeling guilty about the transition.

C6-they kidnapped her?? They just killed someone & they’re joking about how annoying it’ll be to fix leather car seats lol. Now Lord Allard (whoever the hell that is) is injecting wolfsbane into her. What the hell is happening?

C5-god this is heart wrenching. Started sobbing at the guy calling C ‘roadkill.’ What a horrific thing to relate someone to. So I guess they have an agreement that they cover up wolf attacks on humans & the wolves take away humans who are living after getting bitten (like V was)? I guess V is transforming & is now a wolf? This is freaky. Her poor dad too, what a difficult decision for him.

C4-I think I’m going to have a heart attack. Ugh I knew she’d die but I’m still devastated. That was incredibly graphic, poor V having to watch that but at least she stabbed it a few times lol.
