The stuff with the ‘other’ Gallant was really cool! Just wish that it hadn’t kind of been spoiled by the blurb/synopsis and cover?? For such a short book, too many later details were given away! But I do think this is being introduced way too late in the story. Feel like it’s just getting started but there’s only about 80 pages left…

Yeah there’s not much of a plot and it’s kinda really repetitive but I don’t care! Because the writing is so beautiful and haunting and the tone is amazing and the setting is gorgeous. The journal entries throughout have been nice but to also have an entire 30 page section of the full journal illustrated from start to finish in order was really interesting to see Grace’s story unfold from a linear perspective

This is so beautifully written! So atmospheric, so gothic. Really intrigued already. Olivia is set up as a very interesting character to explore. Also the book design itself is just so pretty. Love the illustrations and journal entries throughout!
