If this author doesn’t stop starting to have an interesting character moment before immediately ruining it by having the character just straight up state the new fact I’m gonna lose it

(I.e. character seems to be troubled by something and the other starts to notice, immediately says “hm he seems troubled it’s crazy I just now noticed” like please be so for real I’m not five I can read subtext)
