Making an update mid-read because I have so many thoughts on this book.
1. Silliness of the game aside, this feels like Among Us. The man character performs simple analytical tasks to solve an impossible, mind-boggling situation, while pretending that nothing out of the ordinary is happening. I feel like if you had to make Among Us into a script, it would look something like this book.

2. I cannot stop thinking about how I want to be in this scenario. Maybe I was born to be a scientist after all. Just the idea of having a scientific mystery in front of you, a huge library with specialized literature on the topic, and a hypermodern laboratory at your disposal and all the time in the world to figure it out makes me dizzy. The solution is right there in front of me and I have all the tools, I just need to figure it out. Sex is good but this is better
