Maintaining my skepticism about how this book was approved (confidentiality), the writing style perfectly captures Yalom's insufferability. However, I believe that is the point. He tells an honest tale of himself, the therapist, informing us of his frustration, pride, and mistakes. Thelma quits therapy and improves, which is acknowleged as an insult to his work. I would too. This job is obviously taxxing on the ego.
