I am enjoying this so far. The premise is interesting and the magic intriguing. The writing is a little crunchy in places. This author has a real word repeating habit I wish an editor would have caught. If they use a word, you can bet it's about to be used again in the next sentence at the very least.
The middle of the book is also dragging a bit, but I am still eager to read more.
