So disappointed. I enjoy the idea of the book. That is it. The telling writing and inner dialogue is annoying. The fmc is annoying and useless. The outcome is wrong and out of no where, just to try and throw readers off- The ending makes no sense. The romance is telling and instant and bare. The characters are one dimensional. I loathe this book because I wanted to love it. I wanted it to be good.

I like the idea of the story. But! I am annoyed with the amount of telling instead of showing that is taking place. And the amount of effort that is being put in to tell us how Audrey Rose is different than other girls and no one else in her circle of society is sensible or grounded enough to care about what’s actually going on on the impoverished streets in Whitechapel.
