The Samhain Ritual requires the casters to be soulmates? Harriet, you fool! Did she even know Kat was going to be doing the ritual for Mystic Hollow this year? If she knew that and the fact that both of their parents are going to be out of town protecting another magical hotspot (and to support her granddad undergoing surgery), then Harry is a major fool and a hypocrite!

Well damn, that escalated quickly. And we haven't even gotten to magic itself breaking apart. But speaking of magic, I do have one question. (Maybe two.) Does everyone in Mystic Hollow know magic exists? And if so, do they know that the Hadley sisters have powers? Either way, I like this book so far, and the characters seem pretty relatable.
