Too early to tell how much I will like the book. I am enjoying it so far, and see similar theme to No Longer Human. However, this book seems much less brazen than No Longer Human. An unfair comparison, but also I can’t help but feel like Dazai writes women very timidly. I’m excited to see what happens after her brother appears and how the imagery of the snake ties into the story.
