Stopping at the end of Part One. I'm really surprised by so many fantastic styles and skill sets used to tell this story thus far. I'm having a grand ol' time.

The dystopian horror is setting in. Nice

Of course Gus is a man, he's more aware of and attached to a piano than his literal life

"Gus. You didn't participate in my hand coin toss trick. Are you a traitor who needs to be put in jail for being a terrorist? Mommy doesn't like terrorists"

Holy fucking shit balls. Alex White are you reporting from inside the White House?

CIA is using master manipulating capitalist techniques and slap me if I'm wrong but Gus might just be doing some wicked magic brain shit and is totally passing through. Love that for him.

I was wrong. Felchion. Well played.

OF COURSE Ardent's robot is named Harlequin

Ardent "How can I make every situation about me?" Violet

This man just had a mental breakdown and you think you're the most important person in the room

Is he redeemable or a foresight for arc doom? End of Act 1 breakup to 2nd chance in book two I assume?

Ardent FORGOT that his mom was dead? Seriously? 😣 Ardent it's fun but seriously you're really terrible sometimes

I feel like I'm reading a historical fiction novel set in WW2
