I feel like the couple only got a happy for now ending. Plot ended on cliffhanger (though obvious) but these two aren’t even really together since she’s supposed to leave the mafia and he doesn’t have permission to leave (but asked for it before Shane attacked). I’ve already ready book 3 and didn’t like it so I’m also done for now. lol 3 stars.

Shane attacked in set up, but still alive. Thomas “stabbed” mildly. Leo Deluca (heir) got out of prison on technicality, they are now at war.

Ok, they think there’s a mole in the Kings and it’s obviously the twins’ dad, Thomas Brennan. Enzo was promised something (likely Harper) and how did Enzo’s people know they had landed at the airport. And Thomas’ treatment of women in the mafia is opposite to Shane’s leadership.

This book is too long. She’s rescued but now Shane and her father want to see her.

Enzo drugged her, attached to stretcher, and removed part of her rib.

After nearly getting taken and a panic attack in Hawaii, Cian gets her back to New York because of promising to protect her from everyone, including her father who she believes will hurt her or sell her off in marriage. She’s taken by Enzo’s people at JFK, and Kings coming to rescue her.

This book is just smutty. He’s “punishing her” but she is consenting. Not as off as book 1.

Audiobook only. I’m so nervous Cian is going to retrieve her from Hawaii (where she ran to escape the Irish King mafia) and there be some nonconsent like book 1. So far I like them: he is obsessed with her (makes scary statements about punishing her but also has domestic abuse backstory to protect women). She isn’t obsessed with him, is scared but attracted to him from before. Just wanted to be free of mafia.
