theres something difficult about engaging with religious texts as an atheist that is so….difficult? like it feels disingenuous to try to take something away from it that is separate from the religiosity and conversation on the divine. like picking the tomato out of a blt and then leaving a review for the sandwich. but i also fundamentally dont believe or agree. why is it so different from a book i just disagree w?
