As I read in 2026, about the familiar covert action "playbook" refined for control of countries where US interests lie, I find it closer to home. What would happen if my own country, the United States, were to have some system whereby people could be disappeared with no due process? We'd have step 1 of this playbook: where dissidents who've done nothing wrong would simply be absent with no explanation.
