Gerard Van Der Waal’s Reviews > Goat Mother and Others: The Collected Mythos Fiction of Pierre Comtois > Status Update

The Secret Name. Two stars. I finished this on pure perseverance. I don't know if it was because I was so tired, but my eyelids kept dropping while reading this. I do appreciate how it updates the setting of Lovecraft stories to sometime after the 20s, and how the writing itself is updated to modern(ish) times, while still keeping tight to the good old vibes of HPL. But beyond that, I thought this was pretty dull.
