I often hear that in terms of Liking Dune, there's two camps: 1-3 people and 1 & 4 people. I was curious to find out what that meant for a while and it's making sense. I think I'm in the former camp but there's still about a third left to turn that tide - some seriously interesting new stuff in here mixed with some surprising concepts (overt homosexuality and rape) that I didn't think would be discussed so frankly.
