I understand a character in Emily St. John Mandel‘s current novel, Exit Party, appears in her earlier book, The Singer’s Gun. This caught my interest so I started this earlier novel. I’ve finished the first chapter, and am intrigued by the beginning.

Great idea. I should reread this one before I read Exit Party. I have read all of her books, I believe, and the characters may be muddling together in my brain.

Rachelle, my hunch is that it’s not that important to read it, but I’ve enjoyed her writing so it was a good excuse for me to pick up this earlier book anyway.
