The plot is picking up a lot which has made it much more enjoyable to read. The description confused me as I was expecting more of a murder mystery. While a murder is the premise of the book, it’s written more about all the people and personalities in the town. But now that I understand it, I can enjoy the good writing for what it is. I hope it all ties together in the end!

I loved the Secret History so I’m surprised how little I’m enjoying this so far. Waiting for the plot to develop but so far it’s been a boring read. Going to continue though to figure out what happens out of curiosity, and because I’ve heard it picks up halfway through.
