It is impossible to accurately track progress of this book. Did I only make 5 more pages of progress in the main text? Yes, but a footnote to another footnote then led me to “Appendix II-E” where I skimmed over 50 pages worth of photocopies of letters from Johnny Truant’s mother as she slowly declined in a mental institution. This book is bonkers.
