I feel like I’ve missed three books in the series. I just CANNOT get on board with this and I want to so badly

Really struggling with this one. Way too much with the funky terms and characters with weird and unpronounceable names—all in the name of world-building. I want to like it, but I read a few pages then get annoyed bc I don’t understand it. It’s like it’s only partially in English. Annoying.
