I don't know why, but... BEST. CHAPTER. YET! So fun, so much unnecessary detail and scientific description of basic things. I just loved it. Now on to the grand (scary weird) finale!

Somewhat boring sobering up filler chapter 16.

"Did you hear my brain go snap?" I just read the entire chapter 15, the infamous "Circe", in one eight-hour sitting. In lieu of an eye-roll, face palm or head shake emoji, my main annotation was a sarcastic, fed-up ... I am done.

This was a weird filler chapter full of cheesy romantic dreams, public masturbation and lots of other mysogynistic, pornographic and / or disgusting things.
But! I am over half-way done!

I have no idea what was going on in chapter 12, but it was easily one of the funniest with genuine "laughing out loud"-moments. I won't forget the Archjoker Schwanzenbad-Hodenthaler anytime soon, nor Herr Kriegfried Ueberallgemein.

I think I've established a pattern: each unbearable chapter (e.g. 9) is followed by a tolerable fun one (e.g. 10), then a crazy one again (e.g. this one here, 11). Incomprehensible, even though it might be one of the most artistically beautiful and clever ones.

"Come, mess." I needed a drink to get through chapter nine. How I miss the simplicity of Bloom's mind...
