Myrtle’s Reviews > Little Rot > Status Update

The back of his neck was itchy like a prophecy was stuck to it, that sense of the inevitable, that something very bad was coming and that no matter where or who he ran to, it was going to find him.

Her skin was like liquid sunlight, I’m scared I’ll have to give this book 5 stars

The air around Ahmed screamed with silence

He could taste the futility of the statement

Wait why is the author kind of killing it? “It’s your first time here right?” “It’s your first time seeing me here”

“He’s just looking for validation” “like everybody else”

There was some ill-fitting elegance around him, like he’d dragged it on and not quite taken the time to make sure it was his size but was wearing it anyway. Great writing.

Some truly decadent writing coming up "It's like loving a snake who thinks he's a man and can't see that's he's a snake"

"That's because they don't know their own dirtiness" "Me I started from the gutter, so I was prepared"
