Shanti Israni’s Reviews > When You Wonder, You're Learning: Mister Rogers' Enduring Lessons for Raising Creative, Curious, Caring Kids > Status Update

“…the process of personal growth never actually stops, no matter how old we are. As [David] Epstein puts it, ‘The precise person you are now is fleeting, just like all the other people you’ve been.’ That’s why striving counts as much as attaining. If we design our lives around getting that dream job or achieving a certain social status, we risk unhappiness and even disaster.”

I read the dedication and that nearly got me to tear up… now I’m sad because I know this book is eventually going to end. *sigh*
