CONFLICT: My book's conflict is Character vs. Self. "But way, way down inside, I know they're right" (Draanen 56). Jessica is going against herself because she knows that what she's doing is wrong, but she's still doing it to feel better. So, the conflict is Character vs. Self because the main character is having conflicting opinions within herself.

SUMMARY: My book is a chronological narrative. The main character is Jessica, who survived a car crash when a car hit the bus she was sitting in. Jessica has to get used to her new lifestyle in her junior year in high school. This book takes place mostly at her high school and home. In conclusion, my book talks about Jessica getting used to living with one leg and wanting to pursue her dream of running in her future.
