When I was reading “The Idiot” I always thought about putting the book down and doing something else in the back of my mind but I wasn’t able to, and I finished the book somehow. I feel the same thing with this book, it’s weird how I get so bored of Elif Batuman’s writing but despite that I’m not able to put the book down.
