The first book has been on my TBR for almost three years. What is your favorite thing about this series?

Also the Kejari tournament in book one was very well done! And I like the political aspect of this series, I mean the conflict between the vampire houses. But Oraya and Raihn are the best aspect of the first two books (the pairing changes with book three). I like the way their relationship grew from enemies to allies, then to friends and to lovers. It probably shouldn't been treated like a remarkable thing, but I feel like I have to appreciate that the author choose a natural routine instead of throwing them into an insta-love/insta-lust thing. They fallen for each other gradually, grew to respect each other, understand each other and trust each other. It's how a romance should work, for me, at least. And I like how they grew individually, as characters. The author did an awesome work. What I don't appreciate, for sure, is the use of the swear words, they are used too often for my liking, and that have an influence on emotionally impactful scenes. I haven't noticed this problem much in book one, but in book two I just couldn't ignore it any longer. It will impact my rating for sure.
