We dont get to know much about the FMC before we see her pop off with her magic uncontrolled. I mean I love the world building idea of the different islands having different powers. I love pirate books, so I enjoyed that. Honestly didnt know this was going to be a pirate book when I first started it. The cover just looked so pretty haha.

Every time Sebastian says “Princess” I just think about that guy who does the whole “hey pwincess” bit 😭🤣☠️ I can’t take Sebastian serious when he is flirting because he says princess so much.

I think the attraction the FMC and the MCM start to have towards each other is a bit forced. I say this because the FMC just all of a sudden likes how the MCM looks and how he moves when he is working the ship. It was fairly early without a build. I guess it was a bit shallow to me cause they didnt get to know each other much first.
