Ok so it has gotten a bit better now, but I have almost reached halfway and it hasn’t exactly picked up yet. I know the story somewhat but the book seems slow and a but different from the show

I am on chapter 2 and already this book is giving me cringe. In the first chapter the way Freya describes her first meeting with Bran!!!! It’s the worst!! I hope the rest of the book is better
