Pages 99-133 read exactly like King. It’s insane. Just repeated weird phrases and arresting punctuation. Love it.

The author has a style where he seems to describe every little thing. But it’s not a description that motivates the story as much as it is description for its own sake. That creates a plodding feeling—until some things start to (finally) happen. Not sure how I feel about this book just yet.
