The hypocrisy in this book is staggering. Am I supposed to believe Lili is a full-blown socialist who deplores capitalism but at the same time knows every designer label and luxury brand there is? If she’s so far above that, why does she know so much about wealth and all the materialistic trappings that come with it?

Slow going, and this is turning from bad to worse. It’s like listening to a really boring political debate sandwich between disturbing porn scenes.

Filled to the brim with pretentious name dropping (economists, writers, philosophers, and artists) and over-zealous political debating and socioeconomic commentary. Whiplash from overly poetic rough sex smut scenes to academic pontificating.
