It’s because some people think that Christian’s force people into their religion (not me just others opinions)
i understand not wanting to friend you if you have differing beliefs, but did they have to go and make a big deal about it 😭
lmfao, gives the same vibes as when im in a group of dudes and one goes "yk, I really dont like gay people, but youre cool." (they think Im a masc les)

Ik this is from the other day but I feel like this deserves a longer comment. I'm an atheist and the majority of my friends are religious. I do not care at all that my friends are religious as long as they don't try to convert me to their religion. I would never put something like this in my bio because I like getting to know people over their beliefs (political, religious, cultural, wtv). That being said, I know that some people have religious trauma. Sometimes religious leaders or parents use scripture to manipulate or isolate someone. Some teachings based on original sin, eternal damnation and severe gender roles can lead to self-hatred. Additionally, some religious groups punish critical thinking and discourage relationships with anyone outside of the church.
I'm not saying this to be overly critical of your personal beliefs. I just want to acknowledge that religion has brought some people peace and religion has also traumatized some people. I think that both things can be true at the same time and I think everyone should be able to make the individual choice on whether or not they choose to follow religion.
So getting back to the point...not all Christians try to force their religion, but every atheist has had an experience where people have tried to convert them. I think these people you are referring to were trying to protect themselves from a potentially traumatic interaction, and while I am absolutely against stereotypes, I think there is some validity in this. As a connection, I am not bothered by it when girls have "no frqs from men" in their bio, because they don't want to deal with the potential of a negative interaction, even though not all men are bad.
I'm not saying what these people did was necessarily right...but I hope maybe this helps you understand a little :)
