this book feels like 2000 pages

putting this one on pause

300 pages mark, and it feels like I’ve read 3000. not complaining btw this book is dense but in a super duper good way (with a cherry on top).

if someone took the page numbers and any sense of proportional measurements so I wouldn’t be able to guess where I was in this book, and someone told me I was only a third of the way through, I wouldn’t believe you. this book is hugeeeeee but I’m having the best time. it’s so detailed and min Jin lee’s writing is so engaging

love love love Sonya’s character is my favorite that scene with her and her husband’s mistress mm mm MMMMMM this girl is my vibe

I’ve been the laziest person ever lately and I haven’t been picking this up but omg whenever I do I just get sucked in immediately. you know those studies that found how you need about 10-15 minutes to reach that flow state locked in mode whenever you start reading? yeah, with this book? try two seconds.

and all of a sudden, maybe the one or two hours of homework I get after school every day isn’t so bad🥴
