„Have you ever heard of a man who stumbled upon a naked goddess and just walks away?“
It’s sad how true this is

Her mom: „don’t let vengeance guide you like me, promise me.“
„I promise“
Clytemenstra 10 minutes later:
„Your plots and plans haven’t worked.
I have power and all you have is whispers in a king’s ear.
I am queen of Mycenae, and you are nobody.”

„To the Atreidai and the Atreidai’s wives!”
Clytemnestra shattered her own cup against the wall. She stood while a servant hurried to clean the wine spreading on the floor. Everyone fell silent, staring at her.
She looked into her father’s eyes and said, “Sooner or later, you will die. And I will not mourn you. I will look at the flames consuming your body, and I will rejoice.”
As she should!

“Who knows about Ithaca? Who will remember Odysseus?”
“Probably no one. The clever ones are always forgotten.”

“I don’t, really. I just think she should be more careful. Other men wouldn’t approve.”
“And do you approve?”
He sits back in his chair, leaning on the carved arm. “Young men often lie with their companions,” he says. “Why shouldn’t women do the same?”
Odyyyyyy 🥰🥰🥰

„It is you, Penelope,“ he says. As he says her name, his voice is warmer for a second, soft. „I wish to marry you.“
„You wish to marry me, yet you came here to court another woman?“
„I never intended to marry Helen. I did not even bring a gift and did not think I stood a chance.“
Don’t care which book, which retelling, I will always love ody and his Penelope and how he’s such a simp 😂
