I bought this book used, and the seller left me a little surprise. A bug. A jump scare between pages. 🤗

As soon as I started reading ''Youth,'' I felt kind of detached from Tove. It feels like I'm floating away.
''Childhood'' seems so familiar. I, too, felt so uncertain of my future, myself, and the people around me. (I'm still working on that.)
To me, it felt like I had a friend who knew me so well, but there was nothing we could do but depart as we grew older.

''Edvin is handsome and I'm ugly. Edvin is smart and I'm stupid. Those are eternal truths like the printed white letters on the baker's roof down the street. It says, 'Politiken is the best newspaper'.
