Chapter 5 was a lot of food for thought. (Sorry for the pun. Unintentional) Lots of interesting concepts about technology, labor, food, and how we live our lives. Very in line with Paul Kingsnorth's ideas about Ahriman and the Machine. And it elucidates in philosophical form much of what is wrong with the World State's approach to food and agriculture in Brave New World.

Everything this year seems to be about the Odyssey! Even a book written in the 70s is talking about the Odyssey! It is probably time I revisited it. I haven't read it since college. I'm not sure if I've ever read the whole thing start to finish even though I read it in high school and college. Time to find a good translation.
