Ok, we've told like three separate stories within this story now, none of which have to do with our titular character at all and then suddenly BAM! There's a tie in to the main plot because of Convenience. It's getting tedious.

Sometimes the narration sounds like it's saying "Donkey Otey" and this brings me joy. Lots of sexism and women-as-objects, racism too.
