Cozy mysteries are comfort reads for so many of us. We return for the mystery, of course, but also for the characters, the setting, and the familiarity. Changing the narrative voice after 12 books kinda feels like returning to your favorite place only to discover that something fundamental has changed. I went into this one blindly and it feels like a spinoff series.

This book is throwing me for a loop. There is a first person narrative with Nichelle, and the second point of view is a third-person narrative with Lucy. Not sure I am enjoying it.
