This has indeed turned out to ultimately be a fascinating Catholic Bible Commentary with running texts from the CCC that can edify even a lay-reader. Though I would have preferred a more inclusive view of many Catholic Biblical-Theological schools of thought being evaluated, along with references to various writings from the Fathers of the Church. The development of Christology is evident in this commentary. +

Most people don't realize that among the Apostles Jesus chose, most of them were related to Him!!!!! No kidding - and that is something I learned at my MTS only recently in my mid-thirties, and that stunned the heck out of me - along with all the Latin and Greek and Hebrew etc., I had to study. That part is handled well in this portion of Professor Scott Hahn's and Fr. Mitch's Bible - check it out. :) :D +

The dualism factor in relation to 90 A.D., and so the audience of John the Evangelist, compared to the evangelists of the synoptic Gospels, is commendably done. That gives another different face to the writings of Saint John the Apostle - yet - the richness of Sacramental Theology in the aforementioned Saint's writings cannot be overruled. The Synoptic Gospels are Sacramental - but John supersedes them. + :)

That 1Tim 2:9-15 and 1Tim 3: 8-13 = just totally ignored and skipped when it is a letter among others that troubles the hell out of me; and probably anyone who values women's rights. And what is this thing about covering one's head (woman) with a veil - I mean, do we have a lot of dandruff or lice or something that our head has to be protected from God - like give God Clinic All Clear Anti-Dandruff Shampoo LOL +;)
