This started off as an epistolary read... I'm not a fan of epistolary. Anne tells her story to Gilbert, via correspondence. Finally, about 1/4 of the way in, she began writing "regular" chapters chronicling her adventures and thoughts. I enjoy that so much more!

Although I love all of L. M. Montgomery's writings, Windy Poplars is my least favorite. But it must be read for the character introductions. Rebecca Dew! 🩷
