This time I'm re-visiting Dostoevsky at the beginning with his very first novel. The characters are like a trainwreck, you know it will end badly but you just can't look away. An incredible exploration of poverty, and a complex example of obsessive love. I'm still not sure what kind of love we're talking about in this book. Romantic? Platonic? Familial? Maybe I'll be more sure by the end.
