I appreciate the time and effort taken by the author to gather the facts to write this historical account of the 242 women who fought for freedom for their beloved country. There story warrants being told.
The book is long and not holding my interest like I thought it would. Some reviews said it got better in Part II but that's many pages ahead. I've decided to take the book back to the library.

The title of this book came up on my Facebook feed. To my delight the local library had it so I didn't have to purchase it. As I sometimes do, I read reviews of the book by others which did not deter me from reading the book myself.
A Train in Winter is allowing me to learn about the 230 brave women from all walks of life, whom joined the French resistance to fight for freedom for their beloved country.
