Finished the first chapter about a woman who meets a celebrity she idols. I didn’t think it was bad, but didn’t think it was great. Perhaps because I don’t relate to meeting a celebrity? However, it didn’t make me dislike the book. Excited for the next chapter!

Chapters 3 and 4 tore me up. I shed a tear in chapter 4, and although like a typical American, I was hoping for a “happy” ending. Even though the book is clearly about connecting with the deceased, a part of me still held hope for the couple. The end of the chapter left me wanting more, which I think is a perfect way to convey the truth about grief — you’re left with wanting more time together.

Finished chapter 2! I did find this one more interesting than the previous. Although, that is because the family dynamic is easier for me to relate to rather than someone meeting a celebrity. Super excited to start the third chapter!
