Once again, we have a POV outside of a main character. This time, it makes sense why we get this pseudo-prologue. Queen Makhi Kir-Taban of Shu Han is the sister of Ehri, who was supposed to be queen as declared by their mother Keyen. She intended to have her killed. But neither Ehri or Nikkolai are dead. And Akeni is... poor girl. Sidenote, I have a feeling Yerwei might continue to meddle in this dark affair...
