Bagman’s Reviews > Ultimate Spider-Man Omnibus, Vol. 1 > Status Update

Sidetracked: I think the artist changed and. Lowkey I don’t like it. But nice story about how busy Peter’s life is and how hard it can be being so young and in school and trying to be Spider-Man.

Circles: let’s go MJ. Honestly short issue but having Norman go psycho full injection mode was nuts. Having Spider-Man’s face torn to shreds and then having Harry see. Great art man I can’t get over it

Plasmids: ok seeing Norman’s perspective is nice because it shows he actually does go crazy when he is on this shit. Like full blown tweaker. Nice play on the death of Gwen Stacy. Good timing from shield. Lowkey this MJ is too goated to be dead

Ultimatum: nick fury being based off of Samuel Jackson is fire. He is sick. But it’s so fucked refusing to help Peter. Telling Peter Norman is gonna ask u to kill me. If u don’t he will try to kill May. I want u to say no. So fucked. Confrontation with goblin on the roof was so cool. And ending with him snagging MJ is such a good build up.

Responsibility: dude Norman is a real deal threat in this shit. Gwen is trying hard as fuck to be a home wrecker. And damn Nick fury finally pulls up.

Reflections Of: what a great change of pace. Starting off with a little crime stopping. Then the love between Mary Jane and Peter is awesome. And I feel like Gwen from amazing spiderman was based off her. Same vibe. Very cool. Very honest and good. Very loyal. I just love this version of MJ. But the end with Harry’s return and Norman pulling up on Peter and going goblin mode is a huge cliff hanger

Double Trouble: bro I love how Kraven was just a dude. Rip Justin hammer. But so glad Spiderman is a hero in people’s eyes. Just beautiful to see people love him and him being a big time hero now. But aunt May doesn’t play shit and he better be careful lying to her like that. Honestly she can’t handle the truth of what he does tho

Live: potentially the best Spiderman fight I have read. The art is amazing in this book I just can’t get enough. This is how I picture doc ock in my head. A fucking monster lethal yet goofy looking. This is my Spiderman joking around the whole way. Peak. Kraven is a bitch for third partying

Piece of work: bro if he fumbles this perfect version of Mj I will be pissed. She is legit perfect in every way. Don’t mess with Gwen. But doc Ock is scary. Hammer is an idiot for slamming Peter then trying to pay him off. Like be a good person and u would have no issues at all

The cycle: u gotta feel for Peter here. Making so many good points about how every other hero is praised in this world but no matter what he does he gets blamed. Also doc Ock beat the shit out of this man like no contest
