Such a fascinating memoir. To think that conditions like Jenny saw were the norm back in the 1950's is difficult to imagine. Life was raw. Harsh. Bitter. Hard for us in the modern times to think of such rough lives and difficult circumstances!

Thoroughly enjoying this memoir. I am shocked at the amount of knowledge that has occurred even since then about labor and delivery. Written with love and gentleness. A joy to read.
