It’s hard to believe that there are law makers who vote for laws that make it difficult for Americans to care for themselves & their family. Reading this book has gave me insight on the difficult decisions that senators have to make when voting on laws. Sometimes voting on a law can be a catch-22. BUT, it doesn’t have to be… the law making process can be changed. Which leads be back to my original statement.

Hmm… the idea that we have to “try out” a law before we can confidently say whether it works for America or not is a less daunting concept than the opposite party voting an idea into law without regards to the society as a whole. This is how we refine & figure out what works for us as Americans. This process is what brought about the constitution. Not always ideal but how else do you govern a country this big?

I can already tell I’m going to have to reread this book. It’s interesting, but I’m not well versed in politics so some of the information is going over my head. Nothing that a reread can’t fix tho. 😊
