i'm so conflicted on this book and was giving it 100 pages to wow me.
the characters are meh and the descriptions are almost too much. i'm being told everything instead of being shown. some of the information also doesn't feel relevant: do i really need to know about the lumber mill that shut down and how there were foreclosures after that?
