DRose’s Reviews > The Queen of All that Dies > Status Update

I loved the dystopian setting, political intrigue, and strong female lead. However, romance overshadows politics. Serenity seems to forget her mission, while the ruthless king becomes obsessed with her within weeks. Romance and character development are fine, but they must feel earned. The premise had potential, but the execution disappoints me so far. I’ll finish before making my final judgment.
