She’s still comparing herself to her ex, looking at her ex’s posts on social media, thinking she needs fixing because her ex is with someone “perfect” like girl you’re banging a super hot Scottish guy, GET OVER YOUR EX. If he can’t make you forget her who can?!! I’m not sure how much longer I can take this!!

This is improving now she’s had her awakening of “oh maybe I can just enjoy being present in the moment and don’t need to post EVERY SINGLE TINY THING I DO on social media!!”

I’ve also realised that this book is not subtle. It shoves things in our faces like how insecure harper is, as if the author thinks we won’t understand, and Fraser’s backstory being handed to us in clunky exposition, it just feels so forced.

Also, she’s supposed to be 30, but she reads as 25 or younger. It’s weird. And this other book I’m reading, the Cosy Nook Bookshop, she’s 27 and reads in her 30s!! She feels a lot more mature, even if her romance is less complicated.

Her obsession with taking photos for instagram is so ANNOYING!! I am totally with Fraser here, he’s understandably irritated because she’s basically wasting his time for something entirely manufactured and fake. But it’s weird, there’s something oddly charming about this book.

I’ll be really enjoying this, and then something social media-y will come up and she will do something stupid for her followers. Cringe, can we get over this now?? She does not need to record or document everything in her life!!

Sorry, he was so rude to her earlier telling her to “feck off” because he was “working” on something probably secret in the shed…and he said SHE’s Infuriating when she’s cool towards him later?! She had every right to be cool towards him. I’d be furious! Nothing can justify the way he spoke to her in my opinion. “He thought she’d understand his need for peace.” Doesn’t mean you can be a dick!

When you post your instagram stories in real time, haven’t even thought about who your book is about (characters - and thats a quote too!!) and that you have to GOOGLE “how to write a bestselling book”, follow someone else’s 5 step plan and leech off other people’s Pinterest boards, I don’t think you have it in you love!!

Why does my kindle app keep skipping pages and then randomly marking books as read?? Apart from the fact that I soft Dnf’d this and marked it as read myself, of course! But this is different, I’d put it on my currently reading shelf!!
