Absolutely crazy. Elias is insane a bum and Nicole needssss to just leave. Bro honestly it’s crazy this whole book could’ve never happened if she could have an open conversation with Tonye.

So like to me it seems like the reason there’s a rift between Nicole and Claudine was because Claudine was dating this man who assaulted or at least preyed on Nicole and instead of doing anything about it Claudine let it continue and took out her frustration, confusion, and jealousy out on Nicole. Because much the same happened to herself. That’s just a theory though.

Chapter 17 was legit the best chapter of the book. Besides the beginning(as per this book) the argument between the family, the drama was exactly what I needed and the opening up at the end was grand. A lot of this book falls flat but this chapter felt so great and hype to read.

Fun, this is the first time I actually feel like there was something in this boook. There was actual suspense and drama not this melodrama of “oh I want to do soemthing but I bite my tongue” there was actual action. Granted it took half the paragraph to actually get good but yeah.

The side characters do come off a bit shallow because there’s talks of “deeper connection” but I’m not seeing the deeper connection.

This book has officially crossed into the relationship-cheating drama region. I am actually quite interested in the mystery— it’s not a thriller- but is a mystery. I do look forward to this plot getting more focused. I feel the descriptions began to dial back at this point and things are flowing better.
